Lights Out

The house is kinda quiet tonight. Huge contrast from having three extra adults, a 2-year-old and a german shepherd running around. Watch on Posterous

This year’s holiday week started with presents on Christmas morning at the Heath’s house. Even the dogs got to open presents.

It was great having everyone here. I think Mom had a good birthday, I know we had a good time at the aquarium in Newport, and Gran got to hang out with Isaac for an afternoon.

Daily walks to Metro Perc kept Kaiah and Isaac happy, and gave us a chance to walk off some of the incredible food we stuffed ourselves with over the course of the week.

Today’s five-mile hike from Murray Hill to Farmington definitely burned whatever rogue calories remained.
I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t hate mini vans as much as I had previously thought. In fact, I actually enjoyed driving the Toyota Sienna we rented.

Now, all the lights are off, and the only sound in the house is the amorous frog in my fish tank. He’s a persistent little bugger. He sounds like an underwater cricket.

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays as much as we did. I hope you spent it with family. No matter how dysfunctional they are, they’re some of the few people who will love you no matter what.

Now, what’s on the agenda for 2012?
