1966 Aristocrat Travelier
I recently sold my pop-up tent trailer, and started looking for a small hard-sided camper trailer to replace it. A buddy of mine found this one in Seattle. The price was right, so I picked it up.
Actually, the price was so right that I expected it to need a lot of work. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally saw it. It’s been sitting up in Washington for 5+ years, so there’s some general maintenance that needs to be done, but other than that it’s in pretty good shape.
First on the agenda is to make sure the roof is sealed. No point working on the inside if it’s just going to leak. After that’s done, the tires/hubs/axle will get attention. A horse backed into the door, so it will need to be straightened out or replaced. Then I’ll need to go through and check the propane lines and electrical to make sure nothing’s going to start a fire. Add a propane tank, and I’m done.
There’s plenty more I’d like to do to it, but the list of things I need to do before taking it out is pretty short.
Google didn’t find much on the Travelier model of Aristocrat trailers, so hopefully I’ll remember to post as much as I can about this one. They really are awesome old trailers.
